All of us regard the South African country to be 3rd world. We don’t wish to go to South Africa to see what the places of attraction present are there. For those of you who are not familiar with South Africa, they have one of the biggest and beautiful waterfalls in the world. If you ask me, then they are wonderful and once a life it’s a done deal, that you should visit those with family and friends. Let us see about some of those waterfalls and how you will be able to reach them.
TUGELA FALLS
This waterfall is the highest waterfall of Africa. Dropping the water from the 947-meter high reach, you can see this from far away. In the rainy season, you will be astounded by seeing this waterfall dropping the water at high speed with a beautiful view. If you are wondering that how you are going to reach this location, then there are two hiking trails which will be easy for you. One hiking trail of the full day walk to the summit of mount aux sources will lead you to the top of the falls. This is a one day walk, but if you are looking for another way then, another trail will take you to the foot of the fall. From there you will go up the Tugela George passing through indigenous forests. This is the place where you will find a small ladder which will take you to the top of the falls to get the amazing view.
LISBON FALLS
Lisbon falls are not far behind with the waterfall being one of the highest in the Mpumalanga. It is 94 meter that is what makes it one of the highest in the province. Encompassing the lovely trees around it where many people come to hang out with family and friends and make the most of the trip. If you are a bird lover then still you will be able to love this place, because of avian species which inhabit the panorama route. There are many tour operators around the city which will guide you about this waterfall and how to make the best of it. If you are not willing to see much of the waterfall but the scenery around you then, the best alternative is to pack a basket and sit under a tree.
MAGWA FALLS
Magwa falls is 147 meters high and regarded to be the second highest in the region. The best thing to do here is to hire a tour guide and enjoy the place. Some of them offer a full day tour which is awesome if you are willing to have it. It will not cost you much and will give you the inside out of the falls. Close to mbtoyl, there is a magwa tea estate which is the largest tea plantation in, Africa. This could add to your experience. If you are willing, then you can also enjoy some of your time in the waterfall rock pools. Having accessory for that is necessary. All in all, this is one of the most beautiful and highest waterfalls of the world and if you want to reach it then plan a trip to the city of Lusikisik and enjoy.
HOWICK FALLS
If you have been around the province of KwaZulu-Natal then you must have visited the Howick Falls. If you are a tourist and want to know about this then, it is a 95 meter tall waterfall. From the top, if you are going to view the surroundings, then it is very inspiriting and mesmerising. There are many trails and walks around the waterfall. There are many famous attractions in Howick falls like, Nelson Mandela capture site and golf clubs. Water sports and horse riding are also one of the things you can do here. A must visit waterfall for families.
